Requirements
Must:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or related fields
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, and Ajax
- Experience with various operating systems including Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, and embedded real-time operating systems (VxWorks, Linux, QNX, Integrity, Windows CE, etc.)
- Familiarity with software development life cycle phases including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing
- Understanding of software security, robotics, and real-time controls is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles and mathematical analysis to software development for targeted applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software
- Contribute to the operational performance requirements and design of overall systems
- Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Develop embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment
- Create software test procedures, programs, and associated documentation
- Utilize modeling tools for establishing operating data and conducting experimental tests
- Conduct peer reviews, identifying, tracking, and remedying defects
