Requirements
Must:
- I bring 2-3 years of experience in network engineering or network operations.
- I have hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Cisco Meraki environments.
- I possess strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, VLANs, and firewalls.
- I am proficient in troubleshooting network hardware and performance issues.
- I understand VPN, ACLs, and basic network security practices.
- I have excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- I will configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
- I will support Cisco Meraki and Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.
- I will monitor network performance, availability, and security compliance.
- I will resolve connectivity, routing, and performance issues.
- I will assist with network upgrades, firmware updates, and change control.
- I will maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and inventory records.
- I will implement and support routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and VLAN segmentation.
- I will collaborate closely with senior engineers to manage network capacity and security.
- I will provide onsite support twice weekly for physical network maintenance or installations.
Description
We are looking for a NOC Engineer I to join our IT operations team, supporting enterprise network infrastructure in South Florida. This hybrid role is based in Key West, where I will work 2 days onsite and 3 days remotely each week. My responsibilities will include the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of LAN/WAN environments, routing, switching, and firewall systems, primarily utilizing Cisco Meraki and Cisco network technologies. This position presents an excellent opportunity for an entry- to mid-level network professional to gain relevant experience in a collaborative enterprise environment. A 1-week onsite training in Key West is required, and all travel expenses will be covered. We are committed to providing a flexible work schedule while working hands-on with enterprise network technologies, allowing me to gain valuable experience in supporting core network infrastructure. Additionally, there is potential for contract extension or a long-term engagement within a growth-oriented team culture.
