Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of experience in backend software development.
- Proficient in C# and .NET frameworks.
- Familiar with Linux operating systems.
- Extensive experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
- Skilled in designing APIs and service contracts for production environments.
- Solid understanding of concurrency, consistency, retries, idempotency, and fault tolerance.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar databases, as well as caching services like Redis.
- Strong advocacy for testing best practices and code review processes.
- Preferred qualifications include direct experience with Orleans.
- Familiarity with CQRS, MediatR, vertical-slice architecture, or domain-driven design.
- Experience in multi-tenant SaaS applications or retail and commerce systems.
- Understanding of Citus, Couchbase, telemetry pipelines, or synchronization systems for devices.
- Prior experience with Azure-hosted production environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend features utilizing .NET, Orleans, and vertical-slice/CQRS methodologies.
- Oversee grain contracts, orchestration processes, and manage state transitions across different domains, including carts, orders, inventory, promotions, and customer data.
- Create and manage internal and external APIs, along with webhook flows, telemetry ingestion, and device synchronization services.
- Enhance system reliability, reduce latency, and scale solutions across caching, persistence, concurrency, and fault management.
- Specify and uphold clear domain boundaries, contracts, and practices for multi-tenant isolation.
- Author and evaluate high-quality automated tests at unit, grain, integration, and contract levels.
- Collaborate with platform engineering regarding deployment preparedness, system observability, and performance optimization.
- Establish sound engineering standards and provide mentorship to fellow developers.
