Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field from an accredited institution
- 5-10 years of pertinent industry experience
- U.S. DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one if necessary
- Proven experience in developing system requirements, designs, and verification documentation
- Background in the Defense and/or Aerospace sectors is essential
- Experience with radar systems and/or hypersonic technology is preferred; familiarity with unmanned aircraft systems is an advantage
- Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo is strongly favored
- Strong analytical skills alongside excellent communication abilities, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated capacity for technical leadership
- A sense of ownership, urgency, and a strong drive to achieve results
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer and stakeholder requirements, decompose them, derive new requirements, and allocate them to system and subsystem components
- Create system architectures for both new and existing systems
- Conduct trade studies and research engineering designs to identify optimal requirements and system architecture
- Generate system and subsystem design documentation, including interface definitions and system description documents
- Develop and implement system verification activities
- Establish Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, procedures, templates, and best practices
- Create, review, and present Cameo models to stakeholders, both internal and external
- Lead or assist in system engineering technical reviews such as System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR)
- Aid in the preparation of proposals and presentation materials
- Perform peer reviews of team members contributions
- Develop and assess test plans and reports
- Support various testing initiatives, including hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL), subsystem, and system testing
- Travel to client locations as required
