Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Computer Science or a related discipline
- At least 3 years of practical experience as a Quality Engineer
- Familiarity with electronic components and circuitry
- Knowledge in ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality system standards
- Experience in ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 and MIL-STD-105 methodologies
- Proficiency in J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC-A-620 standards
- Capability to maintain confidentiality as required by government regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents, including purchase orders and drawings
- Proficient in the use of standard inspection tools and methods
- Understanding of shipping, receiving, and inspection processes
Responsibilities
- Oversee the enhancement and analysis of technical information for quality programs from materials receipt to finished goods delivery
- Develop, analyze, and refine manufacturing, testing, and repair methodologies
- Sustain the current ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management system
- Prepare for and assist in quality system audits
- Review contracts for quality assurance requirements and standards
- Identify inspection trends and establish corrective and preventive action strategies
- Generate failure analysis reports for product testing failures
- Engage with customer inspectors during visits
- Conduct technical audits on production processes and collaborate with Manufacturing for process improvements
- Review engineering change notices, purchase orders, and product designs for approval
- Provide audit support for outsourced suppliers
- Assist with receiving, in-process, and final inspections as necessary
- Remain on-site during designated working hours, except during approved leave
