Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field - 2-5+ years of relevant work experience - Proficient in VHDL and/or Verilog for developing complex FPGA modules - Experienced in VHDL and/or Verilog for creating test benches for module level simulations - Familiar with Linux/Unix operating systems - Ability to build, route, analyze, and test FPGA designs - Capacity to learn and integrate DSP solutions from DSP engineers - Collaborate directly with software engineers for design integration - Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers - Programming skills in VHDL, Verilog, C/C++, and Python - Proficiency with FPGA Tools like Xilinx Vivado and Vitis - Knowledge in simulation and debugging tools such as Aldec, ModelSim, Questa, and Chipscope - Experience with FPGA Platforms including Xilinx MPSoC, RFSoC, Artix-7, and Virtex - Familiarity with source code editors such as SlickEdit or VSCode - Experience with version control systems like Git, SVN, or similar - Knowledge of hardware components including microcontrollers, peripherals (ADC, DAC, SPI, I2C), and communication protocols (UART, USB, Ethernet, AXI) - Expertise in debugging tools like internal logic analyzers to troubleshoot firmware issues - Experience with non-volatile storage technologies such as EEPROM, NVRAM, and ROM - Ability to learn quickly, take ownership, and deliver superior results in an unstructured environment - Experienced in scoping efforts for task completion - Strong team collaboration skills in an IPT environment - Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance up to TS/SCI level

Responsibilities

- Support agile projects involving firmware design across all phases of the development lifecycle - Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions while troubleshooting existing systems - Work both independently and as part of a team to successfully implement firmware solutions - Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and vendor support for project needs - Manage and provide updates on multiple projects concurrently, addressing critical issues as they arise - Learn to integrate DSP solutions and collaborate with DSP engineers - Collaborate closely with software engineers for smooth design integration - Employ modern technology and industry standards for engineered solutions - Utilize various testing equipment to ensure design effectiveness - Provide regular status updates on design efforts to relevant stakeholders
