Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field with a minimum of five years of pertinent experience
- Preferred security certification or equivalent
- Competence in conducting risk assessments and managing risks for classified information systems
- Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain organized and comprehensive records
- Skill in prioritizing competing tasks to meet deadlines
- Five years of progressive experience in information security
- Expertise in RMF and ATO processes
- Previous engagement with classified information system security management and administration
- Proven ability to convert CMMC/NIST SP 800-171 requirements into actionable procedures
- Experience in developing and maturing cybersecurity programs
- Strong understanding of defense contracts and classified information handling
- Familiarity with implementing and assessing systems using DISA STIGs for Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience in technical, administrative, and operational security controls
Responsibilities
- Attain and sustain Authorization to Operate for classified information systems
- Oversee the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
- Lead and assist with security assessments and audits
- Conduct tasks necessary for continuous monitoring, including audit log reviews, security patching, and configuration management
- Direct the organizations CMMC compliance program, ensuring consistency with DoD cybersecurity standards (NIST SP 800-171, etc.)
- Develop, document, and guide the implementation of effective information security policies, procedures, and controls aligned with CMMC and NIST standards (SSP, POAM, etc.)
- Continuously evaluate and enhance the implementation of security controls across the enterprise architecture using security metrics for improvement
- Provide clear technical guidance to the IT team regarding security measure implementation and operations
- Assess and recommend emerging cybersecurity technologies and best practices pertinent to our operational environment
- Assist the Facility Security Officer with various security disciplines including COMSEC, physical security, document control, Insider Threat, OPSEC, and visit requests
- Carry out additional duties as assigned
