Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Desktop Technician or in a comparable IT support role.
- A degree in Information Technology or a related discipline is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong grasp of network fundamentals.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and remote desktop tools.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Proven dedication to providing high-quality customer service and support.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to manufacturing equipment, production software, and network systems.
- Provide technical support for machinery interfaces, industrial automation systems, and other essential production technologies.
- Offer both on-site and remote assistance to plant staff for technical concerns involving computers, printers, barcode scanners, and other related devices.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers for repairs and upgrades.
- Support site-related initiatives to ensure continuous uptime in manufacturing areas and facility activities.
- Deliver expert-level support with desktop hardware, software, and peripherals, troubleshooting issues associated with operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
- Set up, configure, and deploy desktop computers, laptops, and other IT equipment.
- Address critical incidents swiftly and effectively to minimize downtime.
- Keep precise records of hardware and software inventory, service requests, and technical issues. Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions for future reference.
- Provide exceptional customer service through patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with end-users.
