Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or GED is essential; 1+ year of IT support experience or equivalent training is required. Some college education is preferred.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Fundamentals certifications are preferred (or candidates should be able to obtain them within the required timeframe).
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to ethical standards.
- Outstanding customer service, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Capability to prioritize tasks, adhere to procedures, and maintain precise documentation.
- Demonstrated initiative, dependability, and a willingness to learn and enhance processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the aptitude to work autonomously and manage interruptions effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Microsoft Access or E-automate is desirable.
- Ability to compose basic business correspondence and effectively communicate with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills including the ability to work with percentages, ratios, and whole number calculations.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and visual instructions, resolving routine issues using sound judgment.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods, communicate clearly, perform light lifting (up to 10 lbs), and maintain close-range vision for computer work.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt first-level support for incoming technical support requests via phone and email.
- Achieve goals for First Response, First Contact Resolutions, Customer Satisfaction, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as established by our Service Level Objectives.
- Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the support request process.
- Adhere to operational policies, processes, and procedures relevant to the Service Desk and the company.
- Spot opportunities for service delivery enhancements and provide constructive feedback to supervisors.
- Handle ticket management by receiving, prioritizing, and documenting customer support requests from various communication channels.
- Offer level 1 remote support and resolve end-user tickets, utilizing both existing and new tools, while escalating complex issues to the appropriate service groups when necessary.
- Engage in knowledge management by creating and updating Knowledge Base articles in IT Glue to ensure documentation remains current.
- Perform on-call duties as outlined in the On-Call Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including after-hours support and resolution of urgent tickets.
- Assist in service delivery support for onboarding, projects, and other designated tasks.
