Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- At least 4 years of experience in RF engineering, wireless testing, or similar positions
- Proficient in using Android Debug Bridge (ADB) and device-level troubleshooting
- Practical experience with the configuration and automation of Android and iOS devices
- Strong grasp of network performance indicators and user experience (QoE)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and convert findings into actionable enhancements
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong knowledge of 5G NR, LTE, and Wi-Fi technologies
- Familiarity with wireless network architecture and performance optimization
- Experience with data collection and post-processing tools such as Accuver XCAL/XCAP, TEMS, and Meritek
- Solid understanding of networking and traffic protocols including DNS, DHCP, TCP/UDP/QUIC, QCI / 5QI
- Preferred: Experience with Wi-Fi performance optimization in large-scale environments
- Preferred: Familiarity with network monitoring and analytics tools
- Preferred: Exposure to automation frameworks and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Preferred: Knowledge of device certification and validation processes
- Preferred: Strong organizational and time management skills
- Preferred: Ability to travel as necessary for field testing and deployment support
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, validate, and enhance the performance of wireless technologies including Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, and 5G NR in various environments
- Design, develop, and implement detailed test plans and cases for wireless devices and networks
- Conduct testing in lab and field settings, including drive tests and real-world scenario evaluations
- Analyze performance metrics such as latency, throughput, packet loss, and coverage
- Monitor network health via internal dashboards and OEM network management systems
- Identify performance deficiencies and apply solutions to improve coverage and reliability
- Diagnose RF, network, and device-related problems in both Wi-Fi and cellular settings
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to address network and customer-impacting challenges
- Automate testing processes for Android and iOS devices
- Conduct root cause analysis using drive test data, logs, and customer experience insights
- Validate new technologies, devices, and configurations prior to going live
- Support initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of wireless performance and operational efficiency
- Document test results, findings, and recommendations in a clear and effective manner
