Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; MBA is a plus
- 7-10+ years of experience in Wireless Technology Development and Management within leading telecommunications or media companies in the U.S.
- Extensive knowledge of wireless access technologies including WiFi5, WiFi6, WiFi7, and 4G-LTE, with familiarity with 5G
- Proven track record in managing wireless access engineering systems for recognized media brands
- Skilled in using network diagnostic and troubleshooting tools, such as SQL databases, Splunk, Plume, and Scope
- Familiar with CPE Wireless Gateway and Router designs across major U.S. Operators
- Hands-on operational experience with WiFi and 4G-LTE technologies
- Capable of managing multiple projects and delivering results concurrently
Responsibilities
- Provide technological leadership and spearhead the creation of intricate end-to-end technology solutions involving devices, access, transport, core, and backend systems
- Evaluate new product requirements and devise technology solutions and architectural designs to accommodate them
- Test and certify new Small Cells, Home/SMB Routers, Wireless Access Points, and Controllers prior to deployment in the field
- Collaborate with Operations to troubleshoot WiFi and mobile network issues that could affect business or customer satisfaction
- Offer guidelines and technical direction for developing tools and processes that support new product and technology solution development
- Validate technology capabilities through lab evaluations and potential field trials
- Lead innovative technological advancements (like 802.11ad/ay, UWB, BNC, Mesh Networks) to enhance performance, reliability, and customer Quality of Experience
- Support new wireless technologies and initiatives aimed at enhancing network security and introducing new applications and services
- Assist in maximizing the performance of Spectrum WiFi infrastructure
- Create tools and processes for engineering design, testing, and certification of new technological solutions and products
- Review designs, code, and unit test plans as applicable
