Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience
- IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) is a plus
- Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification is advantageous
- Familiarity with user experience design best practices and interactive design principles
- Proficient understanding of current web accessibility standards
- Advanced knowledge of semantic HTML is preferred
- Experience with ARIA markup is desirable
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript is beneficial
- Experience with assistive technologies like JAWS, NVDA, iOS VoiceOver, or Android Talkback
- Understanding of the design thinking process and workshop facilitation is a plus
- Background in user-centered design from inception to implementation
- Experience across various platforms, including desktop, mobile, and physical locations
- Collaborative experience within larger teams
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Capable of independent problem-solving
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, testers, product owners, and compliance experts to convert requirements into experience architectures
- Utilize a variety of human-centered design approaches, including conceptual models, personas, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes, to express design decisions
- Enhance experience architecture to ensure usability and findability, while addressing technical and business constraints
- Evaluate artifacts and deliverables from peers to verify that they accurately reflect or improve design patterns and interactions
