Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- 3-4+ years in senior technical leadership roles (Staff, Principal, or Architect level)
- Expert-level backend development experience using TypeScript
- Strong hands-on experience building serverless, event-driven architectures on AWS
- Proven experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and data models
- Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, Docker, and observability tooling
- Exposure to modern AI/ML systems and intelligent automation in production environments
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and system reliability
Responsibilities
- Drive the evolution of distributed, serverless platform architecture in AWS
- Collaborate with senior engineering leadership to influence technical direction and design choices
- Lead architecture and design assessments across teams and domains
- Proactively identify and resolve technical debt and systemic gaps
- Advocate for engineering standards, architectural frameworks, and best practices
- Contribute to initiatives for platform intelligence, including automation, decision-making, and AI-driven capabilities
- Design and construct scalable backend systems, APIs, and services using TypeScript
- Develop cloud-native solutions utilizing AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IoT services, Step Functions, and CDK
- Implement event-driven workflows and orchestration layers that connect software, cloud, and devices
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to support modern web applications
- Build internal APIs, service agreements, and developer-facing SDKs
- Design systems with a focus on observability, reliability, and resilience
- Execute robust testing strategies and continuously integrate/deploy (CI/CD) pipelines
