Requirements
Must:
- 3+ years in a Software Engineering, SDET, or Automation role with a focus on daily test automation coding, not limited to test plans
- Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript for developing test code, fixtures, mocks, and utilities
- Practical experience with modern frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, Mocha, or similar, including lifecycle hooks, mocking/stubbing, custom matchers, and snapshots
- Proven capability in programmatically testing REST APIs, covering request factories, schema validation, authentication boundary validation, and strong error-path assertions
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases, along with data integrity verification
- Experience conducting integration tests with actual databases, focusing on deterministic seeding, tenant isolation, and managing test transactions/setup/teardown
- Knowledge of integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines as quality gates and triaging pipeline failures
- Familiarity with contract testing (Pact or comparable), performance testing (k6/Artillery/Locust), or automated document validation
- Background in compliance-regulated environments (such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP) where testing evidence supports audits
- Understanding of Go testing patterns is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the quality engineering practice for our cloud-based B2B SaaS solution that automates U.S. government procurement workflows using AI
- Write code daily to create automation frameworks and enhance regression coverage
- Strengthen CI quality gates and develop tools that empower the engineering team to deliver software with confidence
- Help define the criteria for tested and implement the supporting infrastructure to uphold it
- Ensure the platform operates under SOC 2 controls which encompass security, availability, and confidentiality
- Contribute to controlled change management focusing on test coverage and evidence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive testing and quality assurance
- Analyze and address any pipeline failures and continuously improve testing processes
