Requirements
Must:
- Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Strong backend engineering skills in Python or TypeScript
- Proven experience in designing and managing backend systems at scale
- Good knowledge of frontend technologies like ReactJS, Redux, HTML5, and CSS3 for effective collaboration
- Exceptional communication abilities to simplify complex technical topics for various audiences
- Strong sense of ownership and capability to independently make technical decisions
- Enthusiasm for developing impactful ecommerce platforms
- Deep understanding of system design, architecture, and design patterns
- Knowledge of scalability, reliability, and performance optimization strategies
Responsibilities
- Act as a key technical leader and architect for backend systems in ecommerce and personalization
- Design, develop, and enhance scalable backend services and APIs
- Make architectural decisions focusing on long-term scalability and reliability
- Participate actively in writing production-level code
- Maintain high standards for code quality and best practices
- Conduct, guide, and evaluate code reviews within the team
- Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, and Business teams to align technical solutions with business objectives
- Provide mentorship to engineers through technical insights and design evaluations (without formal management duties)
- Spearhead initiatives focused on performance improvement, system reliability, and scalability
- Engage in production deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting incidents
- Provide technical clarity and navigate uncertainties in dynamic environments
