System Engineer - Application & Batch

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a technology-related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science), or higher; Masters degree is a plus - Over 10 years of practical experience deploying and/or supporting expansive, multi-tiered systems - More than 4 years of experience in Cloud support (AWS) and migration; skilled in building and managing highly resilient platforms within AWS environments - Hands-on experience with container orchestration, preferably using Kubernetes - Experience implementing and managing distributed, concurrent service architectures - Proficiency in automation using various scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) - Experience managing systems with infrastructure as code tools (IAM, ARM, Terraform, Chef) - Solid understanding of Cloud Computing and DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines - Background in instrumentation skills regarding building, monitoring, logging, and alerting for distributed systems - Proven capability in maintaining scalability and resilience in complex environments - Experience in implementing advanced observability techniques on a large scale - Proficient in utilizing modern monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog, Prometheus, Splunk) - Extensive experience with Oracle and PL/SQL - Strong skills in analyzing code (PL/SQL, Perl, Shell script) for problem-solving and proposing long-term solutions; expertise in writing PL/SQL code, including Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, etc. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, while collaborating with team members on daily operations, including resolving data quality issues, system functionality analysis, and responding to system alerts and business inquiries - Ability to mentor and guide fellow team members - Strong interpersonal skills with effective written and verbal communication abilities
