Requirements
Must:
- Over 7 years of comprehensive software engineering experience, showcasing a breadth of skills rather than specialization.
- Strong practical knowledge in backend development utilizing .NET/C# and Python.
- Familiarity with React, adhering to best practices such as modern hooks, testing, accessibility, and performance considerations.
- Experience embedding or integrating Power BI into web applications; basic exposure is acceptable.
- Proficient in SQL, capable of schema design, complex querying, and performance optimization.
- Comfortable working in small Agile teams and adapting to changing priorities.
- Solid understanding of fundamental concepts including design patterns, testing, code readability, and maintainability.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new languages and tools, effectively navigating unfamiliar areas of a codebase.
Responsibilities
- Manage backend services and APIs using .NET/C# and Python, ensuring scalability, performance, and dependability.
- Model, query, and optimize relational databases (SQL Server/PostgreSQL/MySQL) for applications and analytics applications.
- Contribute to the React front-end by implementing best practices in component architecture, state management, and testing.
- Integrate Power BI visualizations into the client portal, favoring this integration over creating custom React charts where applicable.
- Acquire knowledge and implement Databricks/Spark methodologies for data pipelines, with training and support opportunities provided.
- Write clean and thoroughly tested code; engage in code reviews, pair programming, and document findings.
- Function across the entire stack as a generalist, primarily focusing on backend tasks while adapting to needs in a team-oriented setting.
- Collaborate effectively with product, data, and business teams; assist in translating requirements into viable technical solutions.
- Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD practices, enhancing observability and promoting incremental delivery.
- Advocate for security and compliance best practices suitable for production environments.
