Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline; ServiceNow CSA/CAD/CIS and ITIL certifications are advantageous
- 8+ years of experience in software testing/development, with at least 4 years on the ServiceNow platform
- In-depth knowledge of manual and automated testing utilizing ATF, Selenium, Postman, SOAP UI, and REST Assured
- Practical experience in ServiceNow development and scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Client Scripts, Business Rules, UI Policies, Catalog Scripts)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Service Catalog, CSDM, Discovery, and Event Management
- Solid background in API testing, integrations, update set migration, and the ServiceNow development lifecycle
- Comprehensive understanding of the upgrade lifecycle, patch testing, and end-to-end defect management
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, and test/defect tracking tools (JIRA, HP ALM, or equivalent)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-assessment abilities with an emphasis on upholding QA standards
- Capacity to work independently, take responsibility for deliverables, and effectively collaborate in dynamic Agile environments
- Proven experience working in offshore/onshore delivery models with global, cross-time-zone teams
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and document both manual and automated testing throughout ServiceNow modules, workflows, and integrations
- Oversee functional, regression, integration, upgrade, and API testing for ITSM, Service Catalog, CSDM, and ITOM
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks leveraging ATF, Selenium, and related technologies
- Manage the defect lifecycle, encompassing tracking, root cause analysis, and preventive measures
- Establish and execute strategies for upgrade and patch testing with minimal disruption
- Configure and customize ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Client Scripts, Business Rules, and UI Policies
- Handle update sets, migrations, integrations (REST, SOAP, Integration Hub), and contributions to CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and product owners to ensure that solutions are testable and of high quality
- Mentor junior engineers to uphold QA standards, encourage automation adoption, and facilitate continuous improvement
- Engage in Agile ceremonies and effectively collaborate with global teams
- Advocate for a quality-first mindset across engineering and business stakeholders
