Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent experience and/or training
- Professional certification such as Cisco, CISSP, or CISM
- Proficient with Firewalls/IDS/IPS technologies like Cisco PIX, Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, and Blue Coat
- Knowledgeable in local and wide area networking within diverse environments, including LAN/WAN, VLANs, VoIP, and various protocols (RIP, OSPF, AAA/TACACS, EIGRP, Cisco ACLs)
- Experience with routing protocols like RIP, OSPF, and BGP
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting capabilities for networks and applications
- In-depth understanding of IP networking and related applications
- Familiarity with telecommunications service provider operations and testing
- Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in Windows 2000 and Unix
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently, including resource allocation and timeline management
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain our enterprise network infrastructure
- Prepare, configure, and manage routers and switches for deployment at various locations
- Identify and resolve enterprise network issues effectively
- Research and propose network enhancement strategies
- Design and implement security solutions for enterprise networks
- Perform software and configuration updates on network equipment
- Provide training to security and network engineers on specific technologies
- Analyze, design, test, document, and support security and converged network technologies
- Conduct network architecture reviews and create detailed engineering design and deployment plans
- Monitor performance and fine-tune Firewall functionalities regularly
- Be on-call for escalated network issues
