Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 7-10+ years of experience in automated unit and integration testing
- Proficient in test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, among others, including CI/CD technologies
- Extensive knowledge with testing components based on modern scripting languages
- Strong background in automated testing and test-driven development
- Comprehensive understanding of smoke testing, functional testing, non-black box testing, as well as regression testing
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies and techniques, including unit, integration, and functional testing
- Expertise in backend test automation using Rest Assured/Karate for API testing and JDBC/JPA for database testing
- Experience with Java application development
- Proficient in at least one programming language
- Knowledge of databases and SQL is preferred
- Competent in writing SQL queries
- Experienced in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and coordinating an onsite/offshore work model
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to foster positive relationships and collaborate effectively
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automated testing processes to uphold software product quality
- Collaborate to understand software requirements thoroughly
- Create, develop, and maintain automated tests that verify functionality
- Identify defects and enhance the overall software testing approach
- Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) processes
- Diagnose and address software defects promptly
- Stay updated with emerging software testing methodologies, tools, and technologies
- Apply industry-specific best practices and standards consistently
- Achieve a high level of expertise in business areas, systems, and platforms supported
- Conduct system integration testing, including automation of newly developed or enhanced applications
- Review requirements and design documentation, developing unit, integration, and system test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Communicate the business value effectively
- Actively translate business and functional requirements into tangible results
- Oversee project coordination and technical management tasks
