Requirements
Must:
- Practical experience in functional, API, regression, and automation testing
- In-depth knowledge of test planning, execution, requirements traceability, and defect management
- Capability to independently identify technical issues, misconfigurations, and defects
- Proven experience collaborating with various development teams
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power platform technologies (preferred)
- Experience with Playwright automation testing (preferred)
- Background in the financial/banking sector (preferred)
- Exposure to project coordination or management (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Develop test strategies, plans, and risk assessments for intricate system or program changes
- Create and execute functional and automation test cases, including necessary test data preparation
- Design, construct, review, and implement test automation solutions for complex, interrelated systems
- Conduct test execution, validation, and defect analysis to identify issues and facilitate resolution with development teams
- Direct troubleshooting and triage of complex system challenges, identify root causes, and suggest process enhancements
- Collaborate with product management, project management, development teams, and business stakeholders to set testing goals
- Monitor and document defect metrics, automation coverage, and testing advancements
- Ensure quality assurance practices are in line with software development lifecycle and our company standards
Description
We are Kforce, currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer with expertise in both functional and automation testing to support a Power Platform implementation as part of our .NET team. This contract position is predominantly remote, although candidates must reside in Texas.
