Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of experience in telecommunications networking, OSS inventory, or transport engineering roles
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of TDM hierarchy including DS0, DS1, DS3, STS-1, and OC-n
- In-depth familiarity with SONET/SDH, DWDM, and packet-based transport systems
- Proven experience in migrating legacy circuits to Ethernet, OTN, or wavelength services
- Strong background with inventory, design, and assignment systems
- Preferably experienced with Blue Planet Inventory
- Understanding of legacy systems like TIRKS, PRO, or ARM
- Expertise in Telecordia/Common Language standards such as ECCKT, CLCI, and ASR workflows
- Demonstrated ability to trace complicated circuit paths and troubleshoot provisioning issues
- Strong experience in root cause analysis and cross-system debugging
- Experience in OSS migration or transformation is advantageous
- Knowledge of PRO, ARM (AMDOCS), and TIRKS inventory is beneficial
- Familiarity with Blue Planet Inventory is a plus
- Exposure to Python or automation-related tasks is desirable
- Experience with AI/automation workflows will be advantageous
Responsibilities
- Address provisioning fallout related to TDM/Ethernet/Wavelength migrations
- Troubleshoot ghost or stuck circuits across Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks
- Guarantee inventory accuracy in Blue Planet Inventory and reconcile it with TIRKS/PRO/ARM
- Conduct root cause analysis on failed provisioning and activation workflows
- Facilitate automation and AI Operations (Blue Planet AI Studio) by defining standard operating procedures and repeatable processes
Description
We are Kforce, actively seeking a Senior Network Inventory Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. This position supports a large-scale OSS transformation initiative for a leading North American service provider located in Armonk, NY. Our focus is on migrating legacy OSS platforms to a modern inventory system while managing high-volume circuit grooming across TDM, optical, and packet networks.
