Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Over 10 years of extensive software design and development experience
- Proficiency in Java, C/C++, Python, and Linux environments
- In-depth knowledge of low latency messaging systems (e.g., 29West, Kafka)
- Familiarity with KDB+ or other time-series databases
- Strong expertise in building scalable, distributed, asynchronous, and event-driven applications
- Advanced understanding of low latency design methodologies and performance optimization strategies
- Experience in Capital Markets or Brokerage systems, particularly order management
- Comprehensive understanding of the FIX protocol and FIX engines
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
- Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, and uDeploy
- Proven ability to deploy applications to AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Capability to analyze complex, end-to-end systems and pinpoint performance, scalability, or resilience issues
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities
- Competence in managing multiple priorities effectively in a collaborative work environment
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to working with leadership
- Willingness to support production environments and participate in on-call duties, including periodic weekend support
Responsibilities
- Architect and construct distributed, event-driven trading systems tailored for low latency and high throughput
- Create and execute asynchronous processing frameworks and resilient messaging services
- Collaborate with both internal and external teams to ensure comprehensive, end-to-end trading workflows
- Oversee performance tuning and optimization initiatives throughout the platform
- Mentor junior engineering staff and promote best engineering practices
- Provide support for production and non-production environments, including participation in a routine on-call rotation
