Requirements
Must:
- Over 6 years of experience in professional software development
- More than 1 year in backend development utilizing Go/Golang
- Proven capability in building and supporting backend services within a live production setting
- Competence to complete a technical coding assessment successfully
- Experience in collaborating with diverse engineering and product teams
- Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver tasks independently
Nice-to-Have:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Background in developing cloud-hosted applications (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of event-driven systems and asynchronous processing
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized solutions
- Exposure to CI/CD frameworks, infrastructure as code, and monitoring tools
- Experience with databases like Cloud Spanner or MongoDB Atlas
- Interest or experience in AI, machine learning, or large language models (LLMs)
- Strong ownership mentality from design to production support
Responsibilities

Description
We are Kforce, seeking a Senior Go (Golang) Software Engineer to enhance our platform delivery team dedicated to building scalable backend services for banking and card applications. This fully remote position is available to candidates within 70 miles of our hub locations, including Allen, Birmingham, Cedar Falls, Charlotte, Kenexa, Louisville, Monett, and Springfield. We provide flexible working hours with a Central Time overlap from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan, and competitive compensation based on various factors.
