Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field with equivalent experience
- Minimum of 7 to 8+ years of experience in full stack development
- Proficient in backend software engineering with Node.js
- Experienced in developing and handling large distributed systems
- Frontend development experience with React
- Familiarity with React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS
- Strong understanding of backend architecture, distributed systems, and scalability concepts
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud infrastructures (Google Cloud or AWS), including CI/CD and monitoring
- Proficient with Node.js, PostgreSQL, or other relational database systems
- Excellent SQL skills for writing, debugging, and optimizing queries
- Entrepreneurial spirit with strong ownership and collaborative skills
Nice to have:
- Experience in travel, hospitality, marketplaces, or e-commerce sectors
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud or similar cloud platforms
- Background in scaling systems for millions of daily users
- Contributions to open-source projects or technology communities
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with leadership, product, and engineering teams to design and implement end-to-end features across the platform
- Create and maintain user-facing applications utilizing React/Next.js and TypeScript, ensuring optimal performance and accessibility standards
- Develop and enhance backend services with Node.js, integrating them with PostgreSQL and other internal systems
- Contribute to internal tooling, back-office systems, data integrations, warehousing, and reporting functionalities
- Work alongside the engineering team to boost productivity, share insights, and maintain high coding standards
- Engage in code reviews, architectural discussions, and foster continuous improvement of development practices and infrastructure
