Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in architectural or principal engineering roles
- Extensive knowledge in modern full-stack development:
- Frontend technologies: React, Next.js
- Backend technologies: Node.js, .NET Core, or Java for developing APIs and microservices
- Data and Integration skills: SQL/NoSQL, event streaming (Kafka, Kinesis), and cloud messaging
- Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably Heroku
- Proven ability in designing high-performance, cloud-native, microservices-oriented architectures
- Strong grasp of system performance optimization, caching methodologies, and observability approaches
- Proficient in integration design and API strategy
- Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven track record of achieving balance between architectural integrity and rapid project timelines
Responsibilities
- Develop and update the enterprise architecture roadmap in line with business goals
- Lead modernization efforts focused on APIs, microservices, integrations, and data platforms
- Create strong, user-centric solutions that provide seamless and interactive experiences
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to ensure architectural choices foster scalability, security, and maintainability
- Set best practices, design patterns, and architectural guidelines for development teams
- Guarantee system designs meet high availability, resilience, and performance standards
- Offer technical direction and mentorship to engineering teams
