Requirements
Must:
- 5-10+ years of experience in analytics roles related to trade promotion, pricing, revenue management, category management, or CPG/Retail analytics
- Proficient in Python with a track record of developing repeatable analytics rather than just ad-hoc notebook solutions
- Familiarity with pandas/numpy, statistical modeling, time series alignment, and feature engineering
- Experience working with promotional calendars and POS/sales data (syndicated or retailer) to derive insights on promotion lift and incrementality
- Comfort with operating end-to-end through ambiguous data to clean datasets, methods, results, and repeatable scripts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in implementing incrementality approaches including pre/post controls and regression-based lift
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and validation
- Understanding of modern analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks, cloud data lakes) and BI integration patterns
Responsibilities
- Develop Python pipelines for Promo, POS, and Trade Spend Data
- Build and maintain Python scripts to ingest and standardize datasets including Syndicated POS, internal shipments/sales, promotional calendars, pricing, and trade spend
- Create durable and reusable code for data preparation including feature engineering and store/customer/SKU hierarchy mapping
- Generate clean, analysis-ready datasets to support portfolio impact modeling
- Create repeatable Python workflows that produce consistent outputs across different customer/channel/SKU groups and time periods
- Develop explainability artifacts to ensure trust in results
- Deliver decomposition views that distinguish true incrementality from mix effects
- Produce standardized tables and data products for downstream BI and reporting tools such as Power BI and Excel packs
- Automate data refresh and re-runs using parameterized scripts
- Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to enhance output consumption and scalability
- Validate model outputs against known benchmarks, diagnosing any anomalies or outliers
- Clearly communicate results, addressing what occurred, why it happened, and any confidence or limitations present
- Document code, data assumptions, and operational instructions for repeatability and effective handoff
- Implement methods to estimate halo lift and cannibalization effects within the portfolio
