Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience developing backend systems in live environments
- Strong grasp of any contemporary programming language (such as C#, Java, Go, Python, TypeScript, etc.)
- Extensive experience in designing and developing REST APIs
- Solid knowledge of relational databases, query optimization, and data modeling
- Experience with concepts of distributed systems, including service bus, message queues, caching, and eventual consistency
- Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Proven history of delivering software and addressing complex challenges
Preferred:
- Experience with Elasticsearch or its equivalents
- Knowledge of AI/ML-powered search, vector databases, or semantic search
- Experience in constructing fault-tolerant systems (such as retry policies, circuit breakers, and graceful degradation)
- Background in B2B SaaS or enterprise-level platforms
- Familiarity with multi-region deployments and globally distributed systems
- Experience with ERP systems integrations (like NetSuite, SAP, etc.)
- Knowledge of real-time systems (WebSockets, SignalR, etc.)
- Proficiency in observability and monitoring (including distributed tracing and structured logging)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable APIs and backend services
- Model intricate business domains and enhance database performance
- Architect integrations with external systems (such as ERP, payment gateways, and tax services)
- Implement event-driven and message-oriented architectures
- Write clean, testable code while promoting engineering best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver features benefiting our global dealer network
- Diagnose and improve production systems performance
- Mentor colleagues and partake in technical decision processes
- Implement state management for complex multi-step workflows
- Create adaptive designs that function seamlessly across various devices
