Requirements
Must:
- Over 6 years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or business intelligence roles
- Proficiency in SQL, DBT, Python, and Tableau
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms, especially Databricks
- Demonstrated capability to take ownership of analytics systems from data ingestion to executive dashboards
- Experience within consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, supply chain, or manufacturing analytics
- Ability to handle imperfect data and adapt to changing business processes
- Knowledge of Azure and Google Cloud Platform tools, including Blob Storage, Data Factory, and BigQuery
- Understanding of point-of-sale (POS) data, retailer APIs, and ERP systems like NetSuite
- Awareness of material requirements planning (MRP), demand planning, or inventory management concepts
- Proficiency in handling high-volume datasets at scale
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the clients demand plan ingestion into Databricks and Tableau
- Enhance and maintain demand cascade logic from customer-level to retailer-level
- Manage unit conversions and product mappings across finished goods, cases, pallets, and materials
- Ensure demand data is accurate, timely, and readily accessible for downstream supply chain tools
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines in Databricks utilizing Python and SQL
- Oversee ingestion from various sources including retailer APIs, ERP systems (NetSuite), and Azure Blob Storage file drops
- Manage data table design, transformations, and performance optimization for millions of records per day
- Improve the reliability, documentation, and resilience of data pipelines
- Guarantee dashboards are accurate, efficient, well-documented, and trusted as a reliable source
- Create clean, well-structured datasets to facilitate self-service analytics
- Handle quarterly Fair Trade reporting, encompassing sales data extraction and enhancement with country-of-origin and royalty details

We are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Chicago, IL, offering flexibility through a hybrid or fully remote model. In this senior individual contributor position, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining critical data workflows that aid in demand planning, supply pacing, and business performance analysis. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our analytics systems are robust and production-ready, supporting essential business functions across various departments.
