Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform essential functions of this role
- Over 5 years of experience in general Information Security
- Prior experience in the healthcare sector
- Familiarity with PCI, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks
- Understanding of security control concepts including physical, logical, and administrative
- Documented experience as a system security engineer or in information security engineering
- Proven track record in working with and managing security systems
Responsibilities
- Provide after-hours and weekend support as necessary for a 24/7 incident response model
- Adhere to established information security procedures to secure IT systems and assets
- Investigate and resolve incidents following standard Incident Response protocols, including escalations and communications
- Anticipate and propose short- and long-term solutions and strategies; lead their implementation
- Deploy and supervise security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and information; create and maintain standard operating procedures and protocols
- Take necessary actions to minimize impact on business clients
- Develop technical solutions and new security tools to address vulnerabilities and automate repetitive tasks
- Suggest security upgrades to management or senior IT personnel
- Collaborate with other Information Security teams on incidents, remediation, security systems and solutions, and communications
- Prepare documentation detailing security breaches and the extent of any damage caused
- Identify and articulate system security requirements
- Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
