Requirements
Must:
- Strong communication abilities with stakeholders
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst on data engineering projects
- Proficient in crafting technical user stories and acceptance criteria
- Preferred: Certified Scrum Master
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, data platforms, and cloud technologies
- Background in regulated environments
- Knowledge of data governance tools
- Experience in financial services or similarly regulated sectors
- Understanding of data governance or metadata management tools
- Proven experience supporting large-scale migrations or modernization initiatives
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms, particularly Azure
- Knowledge of data tools including Databricks, ADF, Synapse, Snowflake, and Kafka
- Understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts
- Awareness of CI/CD and DevOps practices for data pipelines
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Identify and eliminate obstacles to ensure consistent delivery
- Train teams on Agile methodologies specifically tailored for data engineering projects
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners on prioritizing and refining the backlog
- Gather, analyze, and document both business and technical requirements for data engineering projects
- Convert requirements into precise user stories, acceptance criteria, and data specifications
- Assist in data ingestion, transformation, governance, and analytics requirements
- Ensure linkage between business outcomes and the solutions delivered
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Aid in delivery planning, manage dependencies, and provide reporting
- Contribute to RAID logs and participate in governance discussions
