Requirements
Must:
- Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Over 6 years of experience with database management systems
- More than 6 years of experience in coding, testing, and software design
- At least 6 years of experience with software development methodologies
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- Expert-level experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows, with proficiency in orchestration tools such as Airflow or AWS Step Functions
- Strong programming capabilities in Python and Scala, with experience in optimizing complex queries and data transformations
- Comprehensive understanding of database systems and data processing frameworks (SQL, NoSQL, Spark, PySpark, Databricks)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and associated services (Lambda, S3, EC2, EventBridge, Athena)
- Experience with the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, YARN, or related technologies)
- In-depth knowledge of data modeling, distributed systems, and Big Data performance optimization
- Experience implementing best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks, governance practices, and monitoring/alerting solutions
- Ability to consistently deliver high-quality work, manage priorities, and communicate trade-offs effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills focused on building scalable and sustainable systems
- Experience supporting production environments and applying relevant software design patterns
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities
- Excellent documentation, presentation, and communication skills suitable for both technical and business audiences
Responsibilities
- Design and execute new software functionalities that are testable, efficient, and satisfy business and technical requirements with little oversight
- Engage in the design and integration of interconnected systems including APIs, clients, data stores, and CI/CD pipelines
- Analyze and assess market products to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses, aiding in technology decision-making
- Lead the resolution of critical production issues, manage hotfixes, resolve system integration challenges, and conduct root cause analysis for defects
- Collaborate with MLOps, data science, and data insights teams to establish AI/ML workflows
- Uphold approved coding patterns and best practices across application domains while identifying and mitigating technical debt
- Guide junior and mid-level developers, contribute to candidate interviews, and provide technical direction across teams
- Oversee multiple connected projects or features, produce technical documentation, cut release branches, and supply deployment artifacts to operations
- Continuously enhance application performance, scalability, reliability, and availability while recognizing optimization opportunities
