Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in mainframe security administration utilizing RACF, ACF2, or TSS
- Practical experience in migrating and converting security databases between z/OS security products
- In-depth understanding of the structure of RACF, including profiles, rules, access lists, and utilities
- Proficient in integrating security within z/OS, CICS, IMS, and DB2 environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Experience managing migrations with minimal downtime and a solid discipline in change control
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of current ACF2 or TSS environments to develop tailored RACF migration strategies
- Perform detailed security evaluations, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks to uncover potential migration risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Create and implement comprehensive migration plans covering all phases from planning to cutover
- Configure and integrate RACF on z/OS systems to meet business and security standards
- Utilize IBM tools like zSecure and other RACF utilities to automate migration tasks and facilitate command generation
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and validation of RACF profiles, rules, and access controls to replace ACF2 or TSS configurations
- Provide ongoing support post-migration to optimize RACF settings and ensure system stability and performance
- Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer activities to empower client teams in managing RACF environments effectively
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on RACF, advising both clients and internal teams on best practices in mainframe security
- Investigate ways to incorporate AI and automation into RACF for improved monitoring and threat detection
