Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrated experience in mainframe batch and CICS environments
- Proficient in JCL, TSO/ISPF, and REXX scripting
- Practical knowledge of CICS Transaction Server and batch application workflows
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication abilities
Preferred Skills:
- Previous involvement in migrating or replacing CA DADS Plus or similar legacy tools
- Understanding of CICS Batch Application Control (CBAC) setup, configuration, and functionalities
- Familiar with IBM DevOps tools for z/OS environments such as IDz, DBB, UCD, or Wazi Deploy
- Experience in mainframe modernization or z/OS transformation projects
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the migration of CA DADS Plus control files to CICS Batch Application Control (CBAC) for z/OS
- Develop CBAC File Maintenance Utility (FMU) commands and create JCL to define, initialize, and populate CBAC control files
- Perform validation and testing of CBAC control files to ensure they are ready for production use
- Collaborate with application engineering teams to facilitate integration and support the transition of migrated components into production
- Offer documentation, troubleshooting, and optimization assistance throughout the entire migration process
