Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer/Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field - Over 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, cryptography engineering, network security, or secure systems engineering - Strong technical foundation in cryptography, including encryption methods, key management, and secure communication protocols - Experience in managing or overseeing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) within an enterprise - Proven track record of leading technical engineering projects or complex security initiatives from concept through execution - Experience collaborating with infrastructure, application, and security teams in large organizational settings - Demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing engineers or guiding cross-functional technical teams - In-depth knowledge of secure network protocols like TLS, SSH, and IPsec - Advanced technical skills in cryptography, PKI, and secure networking - Strong leadership and program management skills - Ability to simplify complex security concepts into actionable enterprise solutions - Strategic mindset coupled with a proactive approach to addressing challenging security issues - Willingness to operate within the Mountain Time Zone

Responsibilities

- Lead the establishment and direction of an Enterprise Quantum Safe Program to enhance our cryptographic environment - Define and implement the strategy for transitioning our systems to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and quantum-safe architectures - Collaborate with security, infrastructure, application, and cloud engineering teams to identify the use of cryptography across the organization - Modernize cryptographic implementations with quantum-resistant algorithms and frameworks - Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of cryptographic elements, including protocols, certificates, keys, and key management systems - Establish governance for algorithm agility and manage the cryptographic lifecycle - Evaluate and implement modern cryptographic libraries and protocols - Support secure implementations of technologies such as TLS, SSH, and IPsec - Ensure that cryptographic standards are uniformly applied across our enterprise systems by collaborating with architecture and platform teams - Aid in the creation of cryptographic SBOM/CBOM inventories - Partner with security and threat intelligence teams to assess quantum computing risks - Initially work hands-on by providing technical leadership and contributing directly to engineering tasks while leading a small team of engineers
