Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field with equivalent experience in electrical systems
- Over 5 years of engineering experience
- Experience with utility-scale inverters and power electronics
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with operations teams
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience with solar inverters (preferred)
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred)
- Previous experience in operations support or control center environments (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance troubleshooting manuals for predominant fault codes across all inverter technologies
- Create and maintain a fault code database and Do Not Reset (DNR) lists
- Employ AI to produce troubleshooting guides and utilize engineering principles to analyze datasets
- Act as the main technical liaison between the Solar Inverter Fleet Team, ROCC, and CWE, independently addressing technical issues
- Execute process improvement tasks with vague instructions, general goals, and constraints
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, independently managing technical aspects of individual projects
- Assist the Solar Inverter Team in analyzing component failure rates and formulating work plans
- Establish expertise in at least one inverter manufacturer
- Conduct Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures at solar sites
- Aid field technicians and ROCC operators with troubleshooting solar and inverter-related issues
- Contribute to the creation of solutions for recurring issues
- Assist in preparing responses to regulatory inquiries for data requests
