Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Over 6 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with expertise in Exadata and RAC
- More than 2 years of proficiency in Cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Azure)
- At least 2 years of experience in Snowflake database management
- Preference for 2 years of experience in distributed replication technologies (Oracle Goldengate)
- Highly desired: 2 years of experience in the Mutual Fund or Financial Services sectors
- Strong skills in database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting performance issues
- Competent in Linux shell scripting and PL/SQL development
- Familiarity with cloud database platforms; AWS/Azure certification preferred
- Capacity for quick problem diagnosis and solution development
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives
- Agile experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide administration for applications databases (Oracle & Snowflake), including SQL code reviews and performance assessments
- Continuously monitor database servers and address alerts proactively
- Offer database support throughout all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for production support, database maintenance, and installations
- Collaborate with enterprise teams such as Systems Administrators, Cyber Security, and Capacity Planning as required
- Develop and enforce standards for database operations, upgrades, migrations, and onboarding new applications or clients
- Create clear and organized user documentation to uphold standards and procedures
