Requirements
Must:
- A four-year college degree or GED is generally required, along with a solid understanding of network security principles and at least two years of relevant professional experience.
- An Associate-level industry certification (such as Cisco CCENT, CompTIA Security+, Palo Alto PCCSA, or similar) must be obtained within two years of commencing the role, or an equivalent approved IT certification is necessary.
- Proven capability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Advanced proficiency with a diverse range of contemporary IT systems, platforms, and technologies.
- Experience in analyzing and correlating information from various sources, including logs and unstructured data.
- Availability and willingness to provide after-hours support as required by business needs.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise security measures to protect systems and information.
- Act as escalation support for complex (Tier 3) security incidents and challenges.
- Research, assess, test, and deploy new technologies to enhance the organizations security framework.
- Utilize established industry standards to ensure security platforms are properly set up and fortified.
- Create and update security-related documentation and processes to guarantee team compliance.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain precise and detailed diagrams of network and security architecture.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and other technology teams to ensure secure deployment of solutions.
