Requirements
Must:
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with AI tools, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Proficiency in SQL
- Proven experience in building scalable and automated systems
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Elasticsearch and Kafka
- Proficient in Grafana and Prometheus
- Familiarity with network automation and observability platforms, such as SolarWinds
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations
- Knowledge of agentic AI and event-driven/self-healing system design
- Background in enterprise networking including switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi
Responsibilities
- Design and implement network automation solutions to minimize manual operations and enhance reliability
- Improve observability in areas such as monitoring, alerting, logging, and telemetry
- Build and maintain automated operations platforms alongside self-healing workflows
- Utilize AI tools and workflows to optimize network operations
- Design and manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to expose network APIs, inventory, and state data to large language models (LLMs)
- Assist with M&A integration efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams
Description
We are Kforce, supporting a client in the search for a Network Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) contractor. This remote contract position focuses on enhancing automation, observability, and AI-driven operations within a global Network Engineering division.
