Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field - 2 to 4 years of relevant experience. - Experience in network/systems administration or related roles. - Understanding of computer hardware related to data storage. - Familiarity with software tools including configuration management, desktop communication, operating systems, and internet directory services. - Demonstrated knowledge of spanning tree, routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VLAN technologies, and WAN protocols. - Solid experience in the planning, design, installation, and support of LAN technologies (Ethernet, Gig-Ethernet). - Understanding of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) protocols such as CONITEL, DNP, Modbus, and 68150. - Strong knowledge in cybersecurity practices. - Familiarity with NERC-CIP policies and acting as a Subject Matter Expert during audits. - Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

- Plan, design, and install routers, switches, and other network components. - Troubleshoot network issues using protocol analysis tools like Wireshark. - Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions with colleagues and other support teams. - Conduct vendor evaluations as necessary. - Maintain comprehensive network diagrams. - Test new network hardware and software solutions. - Ensure compliance with Change Management processes for network-related incidents. - Participate in initiatives aimed at process improvement. - Collaborate as a member of a technical team on significant substation networking projects. - Provide support, testing, and troubleshooting for all business applications. - Use advanced network management tools to diagnose problems and enhance network performance.
