Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in mainframe security administration on z/OS
- Practical expertise with CA-ACF2 and/or RACF (IBM Security Server)
- In-depth understanding of z/OS, as well as CICS, IMS, and DB2 subsystems
- Familiarity with security database migration, access control, and password management
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities in large and complex mainframe settings
- Preferred: Prior experience in executing ACF2-to-RACF migrations or comparable z/OS security conversions
- Preferred: Knowledge of CA-RC/Secure, IMS interfaces, or other IBM Z security instruments
- Preferred: Understanding of compliance frameworks like SOX, PCI, or NIST in mainframe contexts
- Preferred: Ability to script or automate security administration tasks using REXX, CLIST, or Python on z/OS
Responsibilities
- Supervise the migration of CA-ACF2 and RC/Secure for DB2 to IBM Security Server (RACF)
- Migrate and verify security definitions for user/system IDs, datasets, and subsystems (CICS, IMS, DB2)
- Collaborate with teams to export and convert ACF2 security databases at specified cutover points
- Deploy and test password propagation solutions to preserve user credentials during migration
- Work with system, network, and application teams to test, document, and promote RACF-based access control
- Carry out the migration on a sysplex-by-sysplex basis, ensuring minimal disruption to production systems
