Requirements
Must:
- Experience in Mainframe Operations within a large-scale enterprise environment
- Strong hands-on proficiency in JCL, beyond merely theoretical knowledge
- Demonstrated capability to modify JCL to rectify failures, manage allocations, and facilitate restarts
- Understanding of batch job execution and the associated operational support processes
- Collaborative team member with a strong sense of responsibility
- Familiarity with TSO
- Experience with Roscoe
- Knowledge of CICS
- Proficiency in JIRA
Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist mainframe batch processing environments
- Review, interpret, and adjust JCL to resolve job failures
- Manage dataset allocations, address space issues, and execute reruns
- Diagnose abends and execution errors linked to JCL and batch jobs
- Collaborate closely with operations and application support teams to guarantee job completion
Description
We are seeking a Mainframe Operations Specialist to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This position will initially involve training on a shift from 6:30 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of additional shifts post-training, including 3 PM to 11 PM and 11 PM to 7 AM.
