Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in data analytics
- 2-3 years of practical experience with Google Looker, including LookML development and report/dashboard creation in Looker Studio
- Knowledge of data security and access control implementation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools
- Experience with other Business Intelligence and data visualization platforms
- Understanding of data governance principles and practices
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and maintain scalable and effective data models utilizing LookML, defining dimensions, measures, calculated fields, and aggregates to fulfill business needs
- Build relationships among various data sources and guarantee data integrity within the Looker model
- Use Lookers semantic layer to establish a single source of truth for data analysis
- Create engaging and user-friendly reports and dashboards in Looker Studio, ensuring compliance with data governance and security protocols
- Develop visually appealing representations to effectively convey data insights, incorporating filtering, parameters, and drill-down functionalities for enhanced user interaction
- Work alongside stakeholders to comprehend reporting needs and convert them into viable Looker Studio solutions
- Manage the Looker application, including user roles and access permissions, while implementing and upholding security measures to protect data confidentiality and integrity
- Collaborate closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to ascertain their data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Offer guidance and support to end-users on utilizing Looker and Looker Studio effectively
- Contribute to generating data-driven insights and recommendations and participate in initiatives that promote data governance for quality and consistency
- Perform additional tasks as necessary
