Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in backend development using Node.js
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases, particularly Firestore or MongoDB
- Demonstrated ability in designing, architecting, and leading technical solutions
- Understanding of OAuth 2.0 authorization frameworks; experience with Gigya (CDC) is advantageous
- Strong skills in React and NX for front-end development
- Expertise in deploying and managing applications on Google Cloud Platform
- Solid comprehension of overall system architecture concepts
- Capability to provide direct, hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to a dynamic engineering team
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of 9 engineers across two projects
- Act as the main technical contact for troubleshooting code issues and resolving technical obstacles
- Lead the design and architecture of new features for the existing Portal Project and a new project in its early stages, including database schema design
- Actively engage in writing and reviewing code, ensuring high-quality standards and maintainability
- Collaborate effectively with team members and consultants to facilitate a seamless development process and project delivery
- Oversee application deployment and management on the Google Cloud Platform

We are seeking a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to offer essential technical oversight for our engineering team in New York, NY. This contract position is intended to fill in for a manager on leave. You will lead two separate projects, guiding a talented team of 9 engineers while also participating in coding efforts to ensure the success of both initiatives.
