Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- Over 3 years of experience as a full stack software engineer utilizing agile development methodologies
- Proven expertise in analyzing, designing, developing, and testing scalable cloud-based software applications, leveraging SOA, Java/J2EE, and Spring; proficient in building and deploying applications on both on-premise and cloud platforms
- Experience in unit testing Java/J2EE applications following Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) methodologies using JUnit/Jest frameworks; skilled in functional and integration testing with Spring testing framework; adept at developing and testing applications using Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, and SQL Developer
- Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle/DB2) as well as NoSQL databases (DynamoDB)
- Basic understanding of Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Familiarity or experience with .NET technologies is a valuable plus
- Background in supporting Technology Lifecycle Management efforts including platform upgrades, technology refreshes, and system decommissioning
- Experience in the financial or brokerage sector is advantageous
- Preferred: AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certification
Responsibilities
- Engage in design and analysis discussions to shape solutions
- Contribute to application-level architecture design
- Develop applications for complex projects, components, and subsystems within the division
- Ensure quality assurance readiness for software deliverables
- Create detailed documentation for various applications or subsystems
- Meet project objectives consistently, adhering to timelines and budgets
- Provide technological solutions to daily challenges and offer technical evaluations for technology initiatives
- Conduct independent technical and functional analysis for multiple projects aligned with divisional goals
- Innovate and devise original technical solutions for ongoing development efforts
