Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - Over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud architecture, network engineering, or similar domains - In-depth knowledge of cloud service providers (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform) and their security frameworks - Practical experience with network security tools: firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, WAFs, micro-segmentation, etc. - Strong grasp of fundamental cybersecurity principles: identity management, access control, threat detection, encryption, vulnerability assessment, and risk management - Capability to independently manage tasks, foster relationships, and successfully drive security projects to fruition - Preferred: Relevant certifications such as CCSP, AZ-500, AWS Security Specialty, or Google Cloud Security Engineer; CISSP, Security+, CEH, Network+; vendor-specific network/firewall certifications - Preferred: Experience with Zero Trust security architectures - Preferred: Background in enterprise security architecture or cloud governance functions

Responsibilities

- Design, assess, and implement secure cloud architectures across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards - Provide direct technical support for cloud environments, focusing on IAM, network segmentation, encryption, workload protection, and secure configurations - Evaluate solution designs and technical implementations for potential security vulnerabilities, offering architectural guidance to engineering and business units - Oversee the assessment and configuration of network security technologies, including firewalls (such as Palo Alto and Fortinet), IDS/IPS, VPNs, WAFs, and segmentation strategies - Work closely with network engineering teams to troubleshoot and enhance secure network architectures - Conduct security risk assessments for new business initiatives, technical projects, applications, and vendor partnerships, providing actionable remediation suggestions - Participate in vulnerability management efforts by confirming findings, prioritizing risks, and coordinating remediation activities across application, network, and cloud teams - Engage in incident response efforts, including recommendations and post-incident evaluations to strengthen security measures - Act as a primary security liaison for business partners, translating technical risks into understandable business-oriented decisions - Promote the adoption of secure design patterns, guidelines, and security standards within cloud and network environments - Assist with audit and compliance activities related to cloud services, network security, access management, and regulatory standards - Contribute to developing and refining security policies, standards, procedures, and architectural frameworks
