Requirements
Must:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent; a college degree in a technical field is preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in customer-facing technical support (remote or onsite); experience as a press operator or field technician is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Indigo Series 2 and 3 is advantageous
- Knowledge of remote diagnostic tools, knowledge management systems, and case management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Proven dedication to delivering exceptional service and addressing issues empathetically and urgently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of producing clear and concise technical documentation and effectively guiding customers
- Displays a collaborative mindset, thriving in a matrixed environment with cross-regional, cross-functional teams
- Proactively contributes ideas to enhance remote resolution, improve efficiency, and influence the evolution of products or processes
- Established ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using remote tools and data insights, reducing the need for dispatch
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive end-to-end technical support utilizing remote diagnostic tools
- Achieve resolution for over 75% of cases remotely, contributing to a proactive Shift Left model through knowledge sharing and automation
- Perform thorough Root Cause Analysis remotely to identify recurring issues and drive continual product and process enhancements
- Share Root Cause Analysis findings with the wider technical knowledge base
- Engage in strategic discussions with customers remotely to identify pain points, align on resolutions, and set success metrics
- Foster long-term trust and establish yourself as a proactive partner rather than merely a troubleshooter
- Serve as a connection point between customers, Field Engineers (FSE), delivery teams, and parts approval teams
- Ensure precise diagnostics and quality handovers for field visit coordination
- Participate in technical debriefs, share insights, and create knowledge articles and training to foster remote resolution capabilities and customer self-service adoption

We seek a highly skilled and customer-focused Remote Support Engineer to join our Company Hardware Support Team. This position blends deep technical troubleshooting proficiency with a proactive customer success approach. You will play a pivotal role in transitioning traditional break-fix support into a proactive, data-driven solution framework that champions operational excellence and innovates the future of remote technical services.
