Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or a related area
- Relevant practical experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Proficiency in cloud networking on AWS (VPC, Direct Connect) or Azure (VNet, ExpressRoute)
- In-depth understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise-level networking hardware
- Knowledge of wireless networking standards and corporate implementations
- Familiarity with ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management
- Expertise in network monitoring and automation tools
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols including VPNs, IDS/IPS, access control, and threat management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, especially under pressure
- Superior communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven leadership and delegation abilities emphasizing team performance and development
- Capacity to balance operational duties with project execution
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of network and IT professionals, conducting performance reviews and supporting continuous training and growth
- Oversee daily network infrastructure activities such as configuration, installation, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems; act as the escalation point for complex issues to maintain performance and uptime
- Design and implement scalable, secure LAN/WAN and cloud network solutions that align with business requirements
- Formulate and enforce network security policies while managing firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to protect data and infrastructure
- Spearhead network-related IT projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring they meet business objectives and deadlines
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to define requirements, manage service level agreements (SLAs), and convey performance metrics
- Ensure comprehensive documentation for network architecture, configurations, and disaster recovery protocols is maintained
