Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree or higher is mandatory; Bachelors degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, particularly in IT environments
- Practical experience in managing compliance lifecycles for hardware and software
- Strong understanding of IT regulations and frameworks, including PCI, HIPAA, SOX, and data privacy laws; ITIL Foundation certification is a plus
- Experience in IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning is desirable
- Familiarity with common IT system platforms and enterprise technologies
- Significant experience in process documentation is highly favored
- In-depth knowledge of data security, compliance, and privacy standards and practices
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT Compliance, Governance, Risk, or a similar field with skills in:
- Developing compliance strategies
- Enhancing and implementing processes
- Project management
- Managing vendors and contracts
- Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Capability to convert regulatory standards into effective, actionable processes
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and influence without direct authority
- Strong organizational skills to manage diverse priorities
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on IT compliance and governance within the organization
- Aid in the administration, upkeep, and ongoing enhancement of IT policies, procedures, and standards to align with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, SOX, privacy laws)
- Create, execute, and oversee processes and systems for proper compliance reporting, tracking, and rectification
- Oversee compliance remediation efforts to guarantee adherence to regulatory standards over time
- Engage with internal stakeholders, like HR, Information Security, Internal Audit, business units, and IT teams, to establish, develop, and document compliance-related business needs, objectives, deliverables, and specifications
- Facilitate internal and external audits by coordinating evidence collection, responding to inquiries, and managing findings and action items
- Partake in vendor and contract management activities concerning IT compliance, including third-party risk and compliance considerations
- Contribute to IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning initiatives, involving documentation, testing coordination, and continuous improvement efforts
- Generate and maintain comprehensive process documents, workflows, and control narratives associated with IT compliance and governance
