Requirements
Must:
- Proficient in API design and execution with a deep understanding of REST
- Extensive background in API development using Node/NestJS
- Strong familiarity with cloud service platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform, with AWS as an alternative
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines incorporating Terraform and cloud services
- Knowledgeable in unit testing and test automation methodologies
- Significant experience in containerization, with Kubernetes experience being advantageous
- Proficient in database design, encompassing both relational and NoSQL data storage within a cloud context
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cloud-native APIs and architectures to enhance customer-facing web and mobile applications
- Perform comprehensive analysis of requirements and product specifications prior to implementation
- Strive to enhance and exemplify best practices in system architecture, tooling, CI/CD, testing, and software design
- Collaborate with front-end developers and business stakeholders as well as coordinate with other API engineering teams to deliver effective solutions
- Ensure all code adheres to the companys compliance standards
- Partner with front-end teams to create, evaluate, and execute code
- Maintain flexibility and a forward-thinking attitude, adapting to new skills and tools as requirements change
- Utilize CI/CD pipelines for code deployment to both rep-prod and production environments
- Provide ongoing support for production applications
